You rock so hard. Never stop.

Letters to the Editor |

Oct. 13, 2012 — Your press criticism, “Never select a political reporter for jury duty,” may be correct. But is it not possible that characterizing the Romney/Ryan “no fact, please, we’re-honest…trust-us” position as nonsense is not the job of a reporter?

I am with you in terms of getting reporters, especially those at The New York Times, to stop reproducing as truth the most fatuous received wisdom. But I am not sure that that’s the currency here. Further, I am not sure that quoting the campaign as saying, “voters don’t need the facts,” is not the solution to the problem.

I don’t think reporters should be allowed to say what is nonsense and what isn’t. They need to show it and leave the decision up to me.

That said, you rock so hard. Never stop.
