Mike Alberti

Mike Alberti is a writer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to his work as a journalist for Remapping Debate, he publishes fiction and essays. His book of short stories, Some People Let You Down, was awarded the Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Short Fiction in 2023. 

He teaches writing at Century College and serves as the Executive Director of Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop, a nonprofit organization that provides arts education in Minnesota’s state prisons. 

He received his undergraduate degree from Vassar College and his Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota.
